The figure below shows the predicted structural vibration at 500 Hz for a launch vehicle fairing. Different sections of the launch vehicle geometric model are identified with SEA subsystems, and the SEA predictions are "painted" onto the geometric model. This provides a powerful way to visualize SEA results. The differences in vibration along the fairing are due to different fairing thicknesses and densities along the fairing, as well as non-uniform excitation by the liftoff acoustic field.
