Transmission loss test model
visiSEAMª example: Transmission Loss Prediction

The figure below shows the visiSEAM network view for a simple model of a Transmission Loss test. The source room is excited by a reverberant acoustic field and is coupled to the receiver room through an aluminum panel. A small hole is assumed to be present in the panel and is modeled as a direct acoustic path between the two rooms (lower path). Additional model elements could be added by dragging and dropping from an icon palette. Many options are available under each general icon type. For example, plates may be modeled as honeycomb, layered, stiffened, frame-supported, or strip-like.
